It had an intriguing premise: I liked the whole idea of the story, but I did’t feel like I connected with any of the characters in the story. Mostly what ruined this story was the unnecessarily detailed descriptions of the sadistic sexual assaults, described in prolonged lip-smacking detail.

Finally, I read in a weekend and boy I’m glad. Deservedly shortlisted for the Richard and Judy prize in this book weaves an intriguing story around the visit of Sigmund Freud in May 17, Stephen McQuiggan rated it really liked it.
